Tia Rescue

Tia Rescue is home to up to 100 Greyhounds & Lurchers, lots of Shire horses, two miniature donkeys and a menagerie of other animals.

We are now in our 20th year – being established by Deb in 1996 – and the problem of Greyhound Welfare is still a massive problem.

Tia receives no money from the racing industry.

It wasn’t until  2004 that Tia became a registered charity and has gone from a few stables in a field in Sowerby Bridge,  to a very recent move to a seventy acre farm in Finningley, Doncaster.

Tia is one of only 4 Shire Horse Visitor’s Centres in the country.

Tia has six charity shops in Thorne, Pickering, Meltham, Halifax, Todmorden and Hebden Bridge.

If you can help in any way, please do!

Thank you.

The cafe at Tia Rescue is now open and is well worth a visit.

Photo’s will be uploaded ASAP.

Fantastic news our café has passed and is 5***** rated.

Open 8.30am to 2.30pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
